The Estate is a family run business which straddles the Caledonian Canal, offering stunning views to the walker from high ground.
The traditional business includes tenant farmers, forestry, deer stalking and fishing. The need to meet the requirements of the modern world has seen diversification into renewable energy with both wind farms and micro hydro schemes. Development of tourism potential is an important factor with the provision of high grade self-catering accommodation ensuring visitors have a comfortable place stay whilst they enjoy countryside pursuits, be they energetic or a lazy day's fishing for brown trout.
Land regeneration features prominently with the establishment of forest blocks of Scots Pine, Rowan and Birch with a view to recreating the Caledonian Pine forest of yesteryear.
The Estate is an equal opportunities employer and employs a small staff. Every effort is made to support the local economy by employing local contractors when external services are required and to purchase materials locally.
The Estate has a green envronmental policy which it promotes to staff and visitors.
