The Company Provides Disabled Access for Glengarry War Memorial
Wednesday, 11 October 2017
As can be seen from the photo, the Glengarry War Memorial sits back from the road on the side of the hill.
Access to it has been by a steep flight of steps which denied the disabled and infirm the right to lay a wreath on Remembrance Sunday.
The Company instructed Sand Macrae Contracting, Fort Augustus to build a path suitable for the disabled up to the memorial.
The work was completed in time for this year’s Act of Remembrance and was well used and much appreciated.
Construction was at no cost to the Community.
